Watch-list: Schubertiade by Noel Alejandro
Erotic filmmaking at its finest.

The latest release from Noel Alejandro is Schubertiade.
Schubertiade is part of Alejandro's Raid project - a film that is being released in four parts. Schubertiade is the second part of the interwoven stories of Raid - the first part is titled Guardian Angels.
Alejandro describes Raid as a poetic tale of hedonism in tumultuous times.
"I was drawn to exploring some of the habits and dynamics in gay culture that are only now beginning to be openly discussed - controversial ones, with both critics and defenders..." explains Alejandro, discussing his inspiration for the project. "There are growing raids on gay sex spaces and clubs, using the excuse that substances commonly used in queer nightlife are new and unregulated. Behind this there’s something darker: a systemic effort to dismantle spaces where we’ve long felt free."
In Schubertiade, a group of friends linger in the living room as a party winds down. A grating tune on the piano interrupts the foreplay between Caleb, Tomas and Marc, but soon, the notes somehow start falling into place as a soothing Schubert melody. The three friends stare quietly, or maybe defiantly, at the source of the music. When the piano stops, the real action begins on the couch.
The performers featured in the scene are Jonzu, Sunny Mike, and Raúl Gordillo.
