Having analysed all of the data from Gaydar.net and looked at global industry trends, we've got some insights to share.
There's never really a down-time in terms of when guys are looking to connect with other guys, but what's clear is that we do see some peaks at different points of the year.
Fortunately, we're in the middle of one of those peaks right now - the summer months see a definite spike in activity in terms of guys online and looking to get together with other dudes.

It's not rocket science to figure out why the summer months sees a spike in online dating activity.
The data indicates that it's particularly the months of July and August when higher than average numbers of guys are online, sending DMs, arranging hook-ups, and connecting with each other to find the kind of intimacy and encounters that they're looking for.
This is a time of year when the weather is warm, we're all wearing less clothes, and our bodies are letting us know that we're in heat - literally!
Sunny days make us horny. It's possibly the boost of Vitamin D that's kicking our libido into overdrive but we don't need to get too hung-up on the science. Just let your dick do the thinking and have some fun!
What other periods throughout the year are peak dating seasons?
The festive period across Christmas and New Year sees a big surge in dating activity, and we also see a big step-up in early January - meeting new people seems to feature high on everyone's list of New Year's resolutions.
The Easter period is also very popular - lots of people are off work for a few days or travelling on vacation.
